It’s kinda scary when someone wants a behind-the-scenes peek at our genealogy lives. Yikes! I’m honored to be chatting with Janine Adams, a professional organizer, who asked me a few questions for her series “How They Do It” at OrganizeYourFamilyHistory.com.
I first met Janine a few years ago at the Southern California Genealogy Jamboree in Burbank, California. Janine owns Peace of Mind Organizing® LLC located in St. Louis, Missouri and frequently encounters clients with collections of family memorabilia.
Janine was one of the genealogists featured in my lecture “Opportunities in Family Archiving” presented last summer as part of the course “Family Archiving: Heirlooms in the Digital Age” at the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh (GRIP). As a professional organizer and a genealogist, she recognizes the value of preserving family history and takes time to help people organize and preserve their heritage as well as downsize and declutter their homes.
Janine shares her personal genealogy journey at OrganizeYourFamilyHistory.com where she offers her “Orderly Roots Guides” and a series of Free Printables. I especially like her motto: “Stay focused and happy while exploring your roots.” Isn’t that what we all want to do?
